    8. Going by the book (I mean BRB), 'provided or providing' both are conjunctions with the same meaning and so can be used interchangeably. Just a matter of what one is used to, as you point out re the legal terminology.

  3. Good puzzle. Enjoyed it.. got the 27A answer though couldn't parse it correctly. The solution above has E(-V+T)EN.. there is a T missing at the end for event(=match) IMHO

  6. 12 ac.Difficult to comprehend how we arrive at "chitinous".
    21 dn .How is it a 6 letter answer? If pre nup is the solution , then it should be 3,3.
    There were a number of clues which threw me into total darkness - Indie, great white shark to cite a few.
