15A- High as anagrind? First time to my knowledge.
I was nowhere near getting 'Equating'. Thinking in terms of evening clothes as def. Aha moment of the day.

  2. 13Dn Clear Toned meaning perfect tune as spoonerism of tear (sad expression) and cloned (replicated)

  4. 21-A was a superb clue and happy to say that I did solve it whereas 3-D prompted me to scratch my pate to no ends, literally making me the 'baldest'!!
After accessing this blog, saw the solutions to a cpuple of my unsuccessful attempts for the day and in this context, I am keen to know how 20-D has been reckoned as IGNITE.
Col. Saab or any other member may kindly enlighten me please...

  9. I answered 8D as Ill reputation ( I guess confused with ill repute) and then kept thinking of an 8 letter word ending in bi for 7A :-(

    1. Wrong entries get me stuck up as well - usually when I get stuck at some clues / crossings, it's a sign that there is a wrong answer. Since there are not too many words that end with I and fit the pattern, you could have resolved it eventually though it would have slowed you down.

    2. But there was a Boy and a One in the clue so couldn't let go of the bi 😁

    1. Great Gowei - just one wrong answer is not too bad. Well done on cracking the Spooner clue and Lappet which was a new word for many solvers. Missed you for the first grid. Hope you managed to complete that too.
