ReplyDeleteGreat puzzle today from Crescent. Easier than usual but very enjoyable. AT A PINCH, GARROTTE, RESOLUTE were some favs.
ReplyDeleteThe puzzle was more accessible than usual from Crescent. For the first time I managed 100% completion without any trouble. Though I am not a fan of 10A REAL MADRID, I enjoyed many of the charades in the grid such as 15D {LIKE}{NESS}. I wasn't able to find "streak" and "course" listed as synonyms in Chambers online. However, I did find it in thefreedictionary.com, used by Col. Though I was not convinced by "up" as anagrind in 2D, it is listed by Azed as an "advanced" indicator on Clue Clinic.
