DeleteIMO, North America does not refer to location.
The clue reads 'in North America' so that is Ok, but Panama is not in North America
DeleteSir, Central America is a part of North America. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_America
DeleteNorth America is used to get NA and not the location.

ReplyDeleteChallenging crossword but well constructed
ReplyDeleteOMG ! today was sooo tough and challenging :) i cannot fault any clue except mourn (our for Indian is a bit iffy).. missed coronal stupidly - thought rings meant adding o's to coral and kept skating around it but could not get it. Could not parse regulator and palely .. thanks to this blog :)
ReplyDeleteI put 'canada' (5a).blight for 12a, 'true frog' for30a. Yet I enjoyed thoroughly.Thank you ,sir,Vulcan
ReplyDeleteDidnt do todays xword at all....though had the print out in my pocket all day...just couldnt get to it due to a hectic day at work...seems a toughie today..
ReplyDeleteToday's by VULCAN created a volcano inside my brains !! Ballyrag - one keeps getting this earworm --for boss around --- bully and then boy to follow-- but then ALEUTIAN was the last to fall , keeping the BULYBOY at bay !! SUCCULENT and DISARRAY were ok, HAIRDO did make me pull my non-existent hair . ALLUSIONS was good for reference. MINT was fresh as a clue. PALELY took me up the wrong alley.
ReplyDeleteI got YOUNGER alright without any logical annotation as the clue missed an 'are' between you and eventually. One never gets younger after each second past and hence why wait for one year to go?
VULCAN: you have vulcanized my brain neurons today into Maggi noodles !!
Fantastic puzzle! Was tough at first but extremely enjoyable
ReplyDeleteThank you Vulcan
Toughie today. Didn't know the words coronal, ballyrag, Aleutian, and inurn!! Newnlessons learnt. But Colonel 24 ack is actually TD.
