      Compounds sharing the molecular formula:

      Acetaldehyde (Ethanal)

Problem with 10D is that the selling is given as 'Ethanol', with a A and not E. This crossing does not fit 13A- 'Tags a line'.

  24. 23D- With available crossings it should be
    -T-W-D.
I could only fit in 'Stowed', giving meanings of saved, packed, stored, hidden, concealed etc. None of this would fit either oiled or Lit up'.

    1. STEWED as DD fits better. But the clue then may be "Boiled and lit up"

  26. I have seen that ETHANOL is also spelt as ETHENOL .

STEWED : I have seen PG Wodehouse using this for one of his characters getting drunk-- synonyms-- lit up and pickled , oliled etc.

SRIVIDYA: Precisely ! The setter's logic has to be tracked ! That'e the whole idea !

CST is an abbreviation for Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Bombay aka Victoria Terminus. Gita got it right .

Patrani is a bit way out, I agree ! Gita got it right again !
