  38. I liked clue 20A : APPAL for friends standing back-to-back (LAPPAL) and one of them getting his head chopped off!

    Liked 5D clue too wherein the word 'unidentified' actually means letters UN are identified !!

    Superb clueing! Felt a bit tough for my standard, nevertheless enjoyed solving it.

  43. It will be helpful if a setter offering these Sunday specials also provides a brief introduction.
    These setters use pseudonyms so one need not necessarily reveal one's name, but certainly one can tell us where one is located and whether one is really making debut (as it has been assumed by some Commenters here) or whether one is a little experienced setter.

    Brief intro: I am a PhD student at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. This is indeed my first time setting a crossword and I am delighted that it has been received well. Looking forward to setting more crosswords in the days to come!
