    Dr Nabar in his elements . MOTHER LODE for jackpot is a new one for me ! 22 across: cleverly contrived clue. Carp & entry is crafty. Have seen other similar clues for carpentry before.

    Dr Nabar: No bar in bringing in more brilliant clues in future. Thanks. I enjoyed but had to rush out on an errand after putting in my tuppenny answers forst at 1040 to continue past midday.
