  2. He is in another grid set by Sowmya. The winning clue for your cricketer is by Spiffytrix, formerly THC compiler.

  6. 11a anno seems W (-b)allet. Bowled at start meaning the first letter dismissed. Or does it mean replacement.

    1. It is "Wide getting bowled at the start". So W getting B and ballet becomes Wallet.

  7. And some among the crowd may be munching on MIXED NUTS. Among the team members there might be a new FIND. The balm that the official applied on the injured fielder's arm ALLEVIATES his pain. STEWARDS attend on players in the dressing rooms. Fielders DASH after the ball that races to the boundary line. After which the runners might be EASING. VIOLATION of any rule by any player will ENTAIL punishment by the umpires. If a bowler crosswes the bowling crease, the umpire may ANNUL the action. And after the match there will always be people who IMPUTE the actions of the players.

    1. Nice :) As you have shown nearly any word can be linked in some way or other to any context.

I did think of VIOLATION as a theme word - since it keeps coming up in the context of suspensions - but its probably a bit too broad.

For the Hindu grid, I had chosen words that can all be connected to cricket but in most cases, also have meanings or usage outside of cricket - so that it is reasonably fair for non-cricket fans who solve our grids.
