  1. The Tamil TEACHER was active. Upon his advise NERD Robert BEEFED UP the arrangements to aid him EMERGE victorious. CRATES of you know what we're kept ready with a plan to EVADE you know whom.

Robert entertained those in power with great PANACHE. If he shot an ARROW into the air he was sure where it will fall.
    But did it?

Being hyper active he soon had a minor AILMENT and HIGH CHOLESTROL.

    What happened next?

    2. In the '80s, Kapil Dev made his debut in the Mad Mad Ad World by modelling for Pamolive Shaving Cream with the catchword KAPIL DA JAWAB NAHI.....
In tune with that concept I wish to say MR. BHARGAV'S JAWAB NAHI when it comes to wordplay with the The Hindu Crossword solutions or answers!!!
Hope other members agree with me....

  6. Kudos to Mme. Sowmya Ramakumar for cheering me up with today's Crossword and thereby lessen my anxiety over being bed-ridden with 'flu.
Let me admit that I bungled with 8-D as OSLO which in turn spoiled the attempts to solve 9-A, featuring one of my favourite authors PG Woodhouse.
All said and done, such failures reminded me of an inspirational words painted in the dining hall of the Airmen's Mess at AF Station Kanpur (Chakeri) when I was posted there way back in 1967-68. And that quote was Mahatma Gandhi and it read: EXPERIENCE IS NOTHING BUT THE NAME GIVEN BY MEN TO THE MISTAKES THEY COMMIT.
