2d typo? Item<= so(item<=)me
ReplyDeleteMite is the thing and when that is upset it becomes 'Meti' and that is what Col. has indicated.
DeletePrasad is right
DeleteWhat is 'Thing' there for? Redundant? Time from?
DeleteOld =Defn,thing=item, is upset=reversal indicator, when held by=C/C indicator, a few=Some
DeleteThank you for the clarification Ramesh. I was confused.
Delete1a grammar is/are!
ReplyDelete1a: I guess dispatched is not a verb here and indicates a "state of being dispatched". So I am OK with "is"
ReplyDeleteI think 'Is missing' is the def.
ReplyDeleteWe wanted Sunnet and he has doubled it! Wow!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
+1.
DeleteDouble Dhamaka still continues!?
+2
Delete+3
DeleteJagraon is probably where Col. is and what is Patti Multani?
ReplyDeleteTheme is Pune?
Patti multani is the village.
DeleteMissed out on Froze & Command.Enjoyable fare, particularly liked Symbiosis and fatal.
ReplyDelete17D. How do you get sou? Could someone please help explain?
ReplyDeleteSou is a very small amount of money.
DeleteSou is a former French coin of small value. It also means a small amount.
DeleteAs I said yesterday in answer to a question, always look up the word in a dictionary. If that doesn't help, raise the question here and someone will surely help. What I am saying is any question here must be when a dictionary/thesaurus lookup doesn't help and help can be had only from someone.
I also do not encourage more detailed explanation by blogger like
Small amount (SOU, French coin of small value, hence any small amount) supported by the (the) sailors (RN, from Royal Navy, hence sailors) below the equator (def)
Thank you very much.
Delete17d
ReplyDeleteSounds is a former French coin of very low value
I didn't get how bakery is theme word!
ReplyDeletewiki tells me there was a blast in Pune's German Bakery in 2019. I vaguely remembered and was curious after your query.
Delete2010 actually
DeleteSorry. Typo.
DeleteGerman Bakery in Koregaon Park is one of the well known places in Pune.
DeleteNoted- for future guidance.
ReplyDeleteSorry it is sou not sounds
ReplyDeleteI guess GECKOES could also be a part of the theme. Chhatrapati Shivaji's general Tanaji used monitor lizards (geckoes) to scale the walls of the Kondhana Fort near Pune to wrest it from the Mughals.
ReplyDeleteRight!
DeleteThanks everyone for the feedback so far. Keep them coming.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have geckoes as a theme word , but it makes sense to consider it as a theme word.
Got all except 25D: froze. My solving skills have improved hugely, thanks to this blog!
ReplyDeleteOn 2D: I also, like Sree Sree, think that SO(ITEM reversed)ME, is equally valid.
2 down. SOMETIME = old isn't it a bit too much ? For Sometime back ,? Telegenic is classy . Most of the soaps in the hind channels have cast who are very telegenic.
