    1. Well solved. A couple of pointers for your reference - The way to indicate an anagram is by using a little asterisk “*” sign next to the letters being anagrammed - or Fodder. The way to indicate a deletion is to show the letter(s) being deleted within brackets and in small case.

  27. Hypatia in a frolicsome mood . HOWL is what our MPs are known for,accursed as the people who elected them.
    I liked the word UNLIT as one who is not drunk. Where do you classify this type of a clue ? Contranym ? Yes indeed, ABC IS basic. Letters danced in front of my eyes.I saw GRAB - BRAG in the Times cryptic today. Brag,grab garbled and garbled! CHAPLIN will turn in his grave if he were to become a Caliph.
