Merry Christmas. CHORISTER gives the Christmas link. I thought Spinner always had "spinner" used directly or indirectly in the clues, as a trademark. Setter's is there in 20A which in my opinion is the best clue. Bosses, the verb, is nicely disguised as a noun. Enjoyed the entire puzzle
ReplyDeleteEnjoyable grid. Thanks Spinner.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to All!
ReplyDeleteDelectable surfaces- as always- by Spinner. He disguised himself nicely in mine ( I missed it)
Missed Sc as a metal. Thank you Col. Incidentally, he is also mentioned nicely in 11A.
Spinner starts with a nice breakfast (though the cafe may be empty)
ReplyDeleteAnother noun/verb disguise in tissue- wipe. Very aptly mingled.
ReplyDeleteLoved exhaust. TN Govt. recently made a ludicrous increase in House tax (subsequently withdrawn) Probably this was in Spinner's mind- another nice clue.
ReplyDeleteI usually get stuck with Spinner's puzzles, but today's was smooth going. Enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteHappy X-mas to all. Taking a brk from 830am deadline till 1st.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the year end and New Year eve.
ReplyDeleteHe is master anagram setter! Hats off!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all. Enjoyed the Puzzles esp. 11a and 21a. Thanks to Col who present today with us in 11A
ReplyDeleteSpinner at his best in weaving a web of deceit.Got muddled in the se corner, by putting in e instead of y in Probably. Crying out aloud !
ReplyDeleteAlthough, japanese folks do not celebrate Christmas, the whole of Tokyo is resplendent in colours and light piped music playing Joy to the world and We wish you a Merry Chrismas.New year is the time for celebrations in this Real World of Maya Nagri!
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and thanks for all the wonderful comments :D
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas All.
ReplyDeleteThanks Spinner for an enjoyable Crossword.
Questions to farewell and method were very cleverly spun.
ReplyDeleteThoroughly enjoyed attempting the entire crossword.
Enjoyed though I could solve only 18 clues. Chorister is a new word for me.
