      nice and smooth solve. Some very nice clues in the 4 corners.

      Couple of comments - there are two entries 13A and 25A with only middle letter checked, i believe from feedback on a grid of mine that this is not kosher. Doesn't "bit of" as selection indicator generally takes first letter only? Here it is applied differently. please check on this. thanks

    As many as 8 four letter words and 2 three letter words have taken away a lot of black squares,thus increasing the no.of clues. More the merrier for us,solvers

    A small doubt. In 6dn - tick is mark what os 10A there?
    Also for MANIA - with is the containment indicator? It should be without?
    Just my doubts.

      The infamous "with".(in 2d too) Which is why I haven't done the crossy. Otherwise seems a good crossy going by the responses here.

    Yes. Agreed in 2d too. With feels more like a conjunction - a+b rather than b inside a. In my understanding.
