Alkaloid
I have a doubt about 16D clue. Why 'Compounds' at the end of the clue, when the solution points to a singular- Alkaloid?
ReplyDeleteThe group of compounds is alkaloid vs multiple compounds are ref as alkaloids.
DeleteMaybe technically correct. But I still feel the plural could easily have been avoided.

DeleteInteresting aside-
DeleteIn Tamil Natram is perfume and Dhur natram (bad natram) is foul smelling. But in colloquial usage when we say natram we mean bad smell!

ReplyDelete26A- Aim becoming Ami is one moving ahead as per the clue. Is at ahead or behind?
ReplyDeleteWe are writing from left to right - not like Arabic.
ReplyDeleteWhen you move ahead you go forward in the direction you are already moving.
DeleteNot convinced. We write it later. If that is the convention, I have to accept it.
ReplyDeleteNice grid. Easier than last 2 days. Finished in 20 mins.
ReplyDeleteAwfully, utility - interesting.
@ prasad - 13ac - end in clue for endurance is correct?
Your doubt about end in 13A is not clear. I don't see anything wrong there
DeleteSorry, was caught up on personal matter.
DeleteAs Col said technically nothing wrong.
Art wise, would have been better if avoided in this case. End does give away the answer before rest of clue is read.
It's not that well hidden unlike
"At the end".
But then art of anything is subjective.
Thank you.
DeleteHow is 20a DD?
