  15. I have a doubt about 16D clue. Why 'Compounds' at the end of the clue, when the solution points to a singular- Alkaloid?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The group of compounds is alkaloid vs multiple compounds are ref as alkaloids.

      Delete
    2. Maybe technically correct. But I still feel the plural could easily have been avoided.

    1. Your doubt about end in 13A is not clear. I don't see anything wrong there

    2. Sorry, was caught up on personal matter.

As Col said technically nothing wrong.
Art wise, would have been better if avoided in this case. End does give away the answer before rest of clue is read.
It's not that well hidden unlike
      "At the end".
But then art of anything is subjective.
